Saudi Arabia Investing in Its People

Vision 2030 places human capital at the centre of the Kingdom’s transformation. Saudi Arabia is targeting at least five universities in the global top 200, 1.5 million Saudis in vocational and technical training, and a female workforce participation rate of 30% by 2030. These are not aspirational targets. They are funded, time-bound national commitments with active procurement behind them.

Australia is already one of Saudi Arabia’s most trusted education partners. Over 12,000 Saudi students are enrolled in Australian institutions annually, making Australia one of the Kingdom’s top study destinations. The Education and Training Committee takes that existing relationship and builds the institutional framework around it, turning individual enrolments into structured bilateral agreements, research partnerships, and in-Kingdom delivery programmes.
